    Co-Founder

    I'm a Welsh entrepreneur passionate about building impactful ventures that connect people with opportunity.

    I started my career in finance at BW Group & Goldman Sachs. Since then, I’ve spent the best part of a decade building Equal Education Partners, working at the intersection of education, technology & workforce development.

    Most recently, I completed an MBA and MA in Education at Stanford as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar. This has led me to build a new, AI-powered software venture in the HRTech space - Equal Teaching.

    In early 2025, I created the Wales Silicon Valley Leadership Series to connect Welsh business leaders with perspectives from the world-renowned tech ecosystem.

    Through EQL Growth Partners I support business leaders to scale their companies through consulting on growth strategy, fundraising and talent development.

  • Carolyn Treharne

    Co-Founder

    As Co-Founder of Equal Education Partners, I built and grew the company’s recruitment and professional development offerings to service over 100 clients annually.

    Prior to Equal, my career spanned multiple industries and included being a civil service HEO, teaching Spanish & French, co-managing a family-owned accountancy practice, property development and opening a restaurant.

    To take Equal to the next level, I completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Businesses Programme and am keen to share my learnings, experience & insights with other entrepreneurs.

    As Managing Director, I lead on strategy and operations — shaping how we grow our impact, scale what works, and build a resilient, purpose-driven business. My role is to drive clarity, alignment and long-term value across every part of the business.

    My experience in senior leadership roles has taught me how to scale teams, balance ambition with execution, and build values-led businesses that deliver meaningful impact.

    Early in my career, I worked as a professional coach — an experience that has shaped my leadership approach ever since. I bring a deep commitment to unlocking potential in individuals and organisations, underpinned by the belief that coaching principles like trust, challenge, and growth are central to great leadership.

    I’m particularly driven to improve access and opportunity for under-represented groups, ensuring that talent — not background — defines someone’s potential.

    I support growth-focused leaders through targeted consulting and coaching in leadership, strategic planning, operational efficiency, and talent development.

    I have a background in law and a sharp understanding of organisational dynamics. I aim to bring structure, insight and a people-first mindset to every aspect of my work.

    My focus will always be on aligning marketing with business growth at every level, getting under the skin of a brand in order to understand what truly makes it tick so I can shape strategies that feel authentic, connect emotionally and resonate powerfully with the right audience.
